The Grand Guild of Fibre Artists is a group of talented people within the Grand River Area.
Fibre art is a form of contemporary and traditional art that uses textiles and textile techniques as its primary medium. It encompasses a wide range of practices - from knitting, weaving, dyeing, quilting, embroidering, beading, burning and felting, to more experimental approaches incorporating mixed media such as glass, paper and metal, found materials, and sculptural forms.

At its core, fibre art emphasizes the tactile and material qualities of cloth, thread, and fibre. Artists often explore texture, layering, transparency, and structure, creating works that engage both visually and physically.
